Hey everyone! My name is Dan Taylor. I'm a 26 year old recent graduate from BYU-Idaho, where I earned my bachelors degree in communications with a video production emphasis. My wife Brita and I now live in our home state of Connecticut where I hope be to able to find a career in video production.
I have been making films since I was 10 years old. The areas I have grown the most in are directing, editing using Adobe Premiere Pro, cinematography, color grading/correction and sound recording/editing. Many of my recent short projects can be found on my "videos" page above. I'm always learning and applying new things to my films. I'm very teachable and I'm consistently seeking advice from the experts and more experienced. I know I have much to learn but I am constantly putting my right foot forward to improve. Everything I've learned has been self-taught, from video production classes at school or through online video tutorials.
I have made short films, feature films, commercials, a public service announcement, a wedding video, movie trailers, scenic videos, short news stories, mini documentaries, product reviews/unboxings, etc. I always try to push myself to do something new and get experience in all genres of film-making and video production.
I believe if you do a job, you do it right. I strive to approach everything I do with a positive, hardworking attitude and enthusiasm. I love to teach, I love to communicate and I love to connect with people. I feel my personality is my greatest strength.
